Journey to Coldharbour

On May 2nd, 2013, ZeniMax released gameplay footage of ESO. It featured the main quest of the game which involves the infamous Daedric Prince Molag Bal who seeks to enslave all of Tamriel. His evil plan consists of machines, similar to Daedric portals from TES IV, called Dark Anchors which were created to merge the world of Tamriel with Coldharbour, the god of schemes' very own plane of Oblivion. However, deep within the Elder Scrolls, there is an ancient prophecy that states the "Soulless One" will thwart the Daedric Prince's evil plan. This is where you come in. The player takes the role as the Soulless One. Your soul was stricken from you by Molag Bal himself and throughout the game,you do everything in your power to get it back. The player must travel back to Coldharbour, retrieve his/her soul, and terminate Molag Bal's reign of terror before all of Tamriel is lost! Are you up for the challenge?

The 3 Pacts!

This information came out a while ago, but there has been no new news worth writing about recently for ESO. So due to the drought of information, I have decided to write about what choices there are for our first toon in ESO.

There are 3 separate Factions. Each faction is an unexpected but necessary relationship between nations. Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. A piece of land has opened up due to a death on the crown, and these factions are at total war with each other to claim the lawless land of Tamriel for their own!

  • Aldmeri Dominion
The ranks of The Dominion contain the Altmer race of Summerset Isle, the Bosner race of Valenwood, and the Khajiit race of Elsweyr. These 3 races have teamed up to claim Tamriel as their own, for they believe they are the rightful rulers of that land!

  • Daggerfall Covenant
The ranks of the Daggerfall Covenant are of the most feared, yet unstable in the war for they are filled with warriors of all races. The Daggerfall Covenant contains the Orsimer race of Orsinium, the Breton race of High Rock and the Redguard race of Hammerfell. These races are to be extremely feared, yet there are some inside problems between the Redguards and the Orcs which may be a gamechanger.

  • Ebonheart Pact
The ranks of the Ebonheart Pact are of the most unforseen of them all for they were once total enemies, but have joined together to reach a common goal of taking over Tamriel! The ranks of the Ebonheart Pact contain the Nord race of Skyrim, the Dunmer race of Morrowind, and the Argonian race of Black Marsh. With the strength of the Nords, the creativity of the Dunmer, and the switness of the reptile race, the Ebonheart Pact is a team that should never be challenged head on or suffer being crushed!

Beta-testing begins!

On March 26, 2013, ZeniMax sent out its first wave of closed beta invitations to the ESO beta. These first few tests will "generally be held on the weekends" (TESO twitter) and is held by a "small" group of testers (official website). This marks and exciting milestone to the development of ESO as a whole and I am confident that the open beta will begin soon.

This...is...BETA!
Remember, any of those who have been invited to the beta, please refrain from sharing or posting any material that is game related because it will be in violation of the non-disclosure agreement. Anything shared that violates the NDA will be removed immediately and reported to ZeniMax which will most definitely end with a boot to the ass. Enjoy the game and be sure to come back with well constructed feedback. It's up to you to mold and polish ESO into a stellar MMO!

ESO: A Role-player's Dream

The Elder Scrolls: A Role-player's Dream

This article attempts to reach out and extend a hand to that true gamer that we have inside all of us. The article uses the Elder Scrolls franchise as a tool to help teach us to immerse ourselves in the world of Tamriel. The article gives the reader tips on how to create a special bond with your character and truly enjoy the game, rather than just using the game as a time filler. This article showed me that next time I play an any Elder Scrolls game, or when ESO hits the market, that the character I make is a part of myself. I should create a story for my character and give him a purpose for what he is doing. Zenimax and Bethesda can only do so much as to supply you with the tools for achieving greatness. It is you who decides your characters fate, and it is you who decides what the character lives for and what he dies for. This is one of my favorite articles and I strongly urge you read it if you want a tip on reaching that gamer within you.

ESO: Ancient Impact

Elder Scrolls Online Guild Spotlight: Ancient Impact

Ancient Impact is a multi-game guild. Coming this October, they will be a 3 year old guild and this guild has visited many MMOs such as Final Fantasy Online, Guild Wars 2, and Star Wars: Old Republic. ShadowedMare interviewed four staff members Grey (Founder of Ancient Impact), Zeymah (Guild Leader of Ancient Impact), Huntersknoll (The recruitment officer), and RedBlade (PvE Manager). Ancient Impact is the first guild that is coherent with IGC (Independent Gaming Community). These guys talked about how they are prepping for ESO. RedBlade has to study technique and figure out the best way to prevail in raids or dungeons with the guild. Huntersknoll needs to recruit the best players he can. The guild will be most successful if its filled with hardcore dedicated players. Personally, I have no intention of applying to this guild because I don't think I will meet their requirements and I only have so much time to play. However, reading this article did teach me a lot and has somewhat given me ideas and strategies to become a successful player.

The Elder Scrolls Online by ZeniMax Games

The Elder Scrolls Online

The Elder Scrolls Online is a new, yet to be released, MMORPG for the Mac and Pc. This game, in my opinion, is going to revolutionize the gaming industry and take current MMORPG's such as World of Warcraft, and completely revamp the way these games are played!

Here's a gameplay trailer that was released in late 2012:

What I Carry

I'm carrying:

My actual wallet
  • iPhone 4S
  • Car keys
  • Zombie Themed Wallet, which contains:
    • $27
    • Visa Credit card
    • GameStop PowerUp Card
    • Driver's License
    • Student ID
  • Jansport Backpack, which contains:
    • Class papers and supplies
    • Macbook Pro
    • computer charger

iPhone 4S: In todays society, the smart phone has grown to become one of the most useful things a person can carry on them. Albert Einstein once said, "I fear the day technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots." In my opinion this day has not come yet, but I fear that it is well on its way. My iPhone does not necessarily contain my whole life, like some people, but it does carry a good portion of it. I use it to communicate with anyone and everyone. I have a long distance relationship witha girl in Georgia and without my iPhone, the relationship wouldn't be as strong as it is now. I would probably be able to live without my iPhone, but when I think about, such a world sure does scare the crap out of me.

Driver's License: Since I was old enough to walk, I've had an urge to be on the road. I learned how to ride a dirtbike before a regular bike! You could say I was somewhat of a BAMF (only some will understand). As I was getting older, my anticipation to get on the road was increasing massively. Once I hit 16, I was so excited! I passed the test first try and was rewarded with freedom on the road! I know drive a Yellow Hummer H2 with a 3-inch lift kit, 35in. tires, and hog huntin' lights on the top! You could say I'm lovin' life!

GameStop PowerUp Card: As every teenage boy does, I love video games. I consider myself a "gamer", as most people would call it, and I have no problem with it. Gaming has been a huge part of my life since I was old enough to hold a controller in my hand and I see it in my future as a game designer as well. I started with the oldies: the NES console, then the Dreamcast, then the Nintendo 64, then PS1, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS3, and I've had every hand-held device sold in the US. Personally, I am on Team 360 because I just love the experience way better than the PS3. Anyway, I use the PowerUp card to get discounts at my local GameStop, which i someday will work at within the next couple of week/months.

Where do you go to get away from it all?

Everybody goes through rough times, it's a part of life. There are no shortcuts in life and sometimes, if someone can not handle life trials and tribulations, they begin to pile up. A great way to handle when life begins to get rough is to go somewhere and just relax. Stress can drive people crazy, it certainly does to me, and as humans, we need to release this stress in order for us to preform to our full potential. In my case, I have a certain place that I go to whenever I feel overwhelmed by life. I go to a small playground right near a lake. I can sit there for hours on end and just release all my stress and begin to seriously rethink my past and possible future decisions. Last time I visited the lake was in December, right before winter break. I had just recently recovered from a fractured spine injury and my baseball began to pick back up. In these healing months, I have rethought my entire road ahead. Before my back injury, I planned on trying to play college baseball. Through the days, my passion for baseball had began to decline. My dad sure wants to see me play, but it's not what I dream of anymore. My dad would pressure me to keep working and to keep throwing so I can one day, but not be guaranteed, play college ball. I had my dad pressuring me, I had my coach pressuring me and I was so stressed by the time I was completely healed. I went to me special place to just get away and think and I came up with my solution: I'm going to finish high school baseball, but I do not plan on playing college. I want to go to UCF for college and focus more on my academics and my wonderful girl. Don't get me wrong, baseball is still huge in my life. It has taught me so much, but because I was able to get away for a little and think, I now have my dreams on the right path to what I really want. Being stressed is completely normal. It's what makes us human. Many life lessons can be found under all this stress, all you need is a place to relieve you of it all and there inlies your path that you truly desire.

Sonnet XVIII: Shall I Compare Thee To A Summer's Day?

By William Shakespeare

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date;
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st;
Nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st:
   So long as men can breath or eyes can see,
   So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

This, by far, is my favorite Sonnet by William Shakespeare. A little secret about myself is that I have a hell of a soft side. Whenever I read this Sonnet, my soft side exposes itself and my mind begins to wonder. Although this sonnet was written for a young man and can be taken as a total act of homosexuality, this sonnet reminds me most of my better half, or girlfriend if you will. You can ask her, she could tell you stories about me. I can get extremely mushy! Not only does this sonnet make my mind and heart race over the Misses, it provides great ammunition for some soft, romantic talk if I ever want to set the mood. Guys, I totally recommend this sonnet if you ever want to romance your gal!

$10 for this odd crap!?

The Hutzler 571 Banana Slicer

This product is no doubt the worst product i have ever purchased on Amazon. It's the worst $10 I  have ever spent...EVER! When I procede to slice a banana, the product does not work properly. I've tried buying different sizes of bananas, different colors and all, but every time I slice it, the product fails me. Do you know how terrible it is to have an odd number of banana slices in my cereal!? It breaks my heart! When i eat my Wheaties in the morning, I would love to enjoy a banana, and savor every bite with that banana sliced goodness, but with this product, I simply don't get the satisfaction. This product does not supply me with and an even number of sliced bananas in my Wheaties and it throws my entire day off.... This product has gotten me fired, caused my wife to leave me, and my kids wont even talk to me, all because of the odd number of banana slices in my Wheaties and it just ruins my life! Save yourself the trouble people.. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR LIFE TO BE RUINED FOREVER! Don't let this product fool you with the even number of 18 spaces for slices..it sure as hell doesn't give you 18 slices. Darn you and your odd number of banana slices in my Wheaties!

Dragon ball blog!

(link) ---> Dragon Ball blog

Ever since I was a child, Dragon Ball has been a huge part of my life. I've grown up on it and learned more than you can imagine! Although the show may look like just a bunch of screaming and flashing lights, it contains more than meets the eye. Goku, the main character, taught me what it is to be a hero. It's not just beating the bad guy, but it's the reasoning behind it. He taught me that family and friend come before anything, even your own life in certain situations. Goku taught me to never give up, and that you have no idea what your actually capable of if you'r doing it for the right reasons! Plus, who doesn't like watching a bad ass fight! I like this blog because, not only does it remind me of my childhood, it keeps it alive. It keeps Dragon Ball in people's lives and things like these Blogs is what keeps Dragon Ball from fading! I salute the creator of this blog, and I hope he keeps up the great work.

Personal Review of Mike's Bangin' Blog

After reading over my blog, I have not really noticed an increase in quality of my posts. They all are kind of short and simple and to the point so that I obtain the grade that I want and I can move on. Compared to posts by my fellow students, my posts could be added to. My fellow students have longer and more enjoyable posts. From this point on, I will try to create more fun to read posts and try to cause the reader to get engaged and truly feel what I feel. In fact, I'll start right now...enjoy this picture for a good laugh!
